WHO WE ARE

Vantage Resilience is the trading name of Maj. (Rtd) John K. Mberia, an independent security risk advisory sole practice in Nairobi.Seventeen years with the Kenya Defence Forces, retiring in the rank of Major, including United Nations peacekeeping service in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the former Yugoslavia. Two decades with UNHCR as a Senior Field Security Associate, posted in Kenya, Nigeria and South Sudan.We are vendor-neutral. We sell no hardware, no guard force services and no technology solutions. Our only product is honest, experienced advice.We work with NGOs, corporates and diplomatic missions that need to understand their actual security posture - not a templated assessment, but one built on close knowledge of how this region operates.Clarity. Assessment of premises, access control, perimeter and field locations - including sites where the protection arrangement was inherited rather than designed.

Governance, policy and asset protection - human behaviour, physical access and administrative safeguards. Non-technical by design: we assess how information is handled, not how your network is configured.

Continuing access to advice, with quarterly intelligence briefings and a weekly regional digest included for the term of the retainer.

Kenya and the wider region, with a week-ahead table and recommended actions.Advisory Notes - issued when a single situation warrants it.
